Physical therapy contains two words: physical (which means that it's related to the body and involves activity) and therapy (which is a treatment intended to relieve or heal a disorder).

The specialty of your physical therapist is to restore or maximize your movement possibilities and functioning through coaching, targeted exercises, explanations, movement and sports advice. To improve your insight and to stimulate your self-reliance.

Physical therapy proves its usefulness in many areas, including general muscle and/or joint problems, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, pediatric disorders, cardiovascular disorders, pelvic disorders and geriatric disorders.

Within the practice E.S. we mainly focus on general muscle and/or joint problems, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and respiratory diseases in children.

Manual Therapy in the practice E.S.

Manual Therapy is a special professional skill in physical therapy.

In a narrow sense, this includes mobilizations and/or manipulations aimed at restoring articular mobility. The body is always seen as a whole, so that interactions with other structures (such as other joints, muscles, nerves, ...) are always taken into account.
In a broad sense, this also includes coaching, targeted exercises, explanations, movement and sports advice, improving your insight and stimulating your self-reliance

Manual therapy proves its usefulness mainly in the case of musculoskeletal problems:

- lumbago

- radicular syndrome (e.g. ischialgia)

- torticollis

- whiplash

- tension type headache, migraine or cervical headache

- jaw joint problems

- frozen shoulder

- ….

Master after Master in Manual Therapy obtained in 2009 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Practical assistant at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel for anatomy education in the physiotherapy and manual therapy training since 2009.

Fulfills the quality requirements of the national quality register for physiotherapists since 2016.

Rates in the practice E.S.

Payment methods:
In the practice per session in cash or with a mobilepay QR code.
On house visits periodically by bank transfer.

Sessions in the practice:

As a physical therapist who didn't agree to the convention, we are obliged to follow the health insurance rates for these patients. The reimbursement for these patients is also equal to the reimbursement for a colleague who agreed to the convention.
